The foundation stone was laid in 1883, when Mr. Kenaan Bassil started his family business in construction, subsequently growing both experience and activities in this field. A successful challenge in building a monument within a week granted the family the title of “fast”, origin of the future company’s name. His son, Mr. Chucri Bassil, took over the family activities in 1932 and founded a structured company in 1946. While still focusing on construction, he expanded and diversified into carpentry, timber and tiles business. In 1983, Messrs. Joseph and Adel Bassil, the sons of Mr. Chucri Bassil expanded into the field of trading by establishing Fast for Trading & Contracting. The new generation, Rim Bassil and Rabih Bassil, restructured the family company in 2011 and have been carrying on with Fast Contracting & Development the well-established business of building construction since 1883 with an expansion into the field of development. Over time the company’s main activities have been in Lebanon & abroad.
